Using the admin area
The admin area is where Stowe staff watch, investigate and resolve integration problems. You need an account (created by an admin, see Roles below); after first login, change your password via the Password link in the header. Locked out? Use Forgotten your password? on the sign-in page: it emails you a link that lets you set a new password, works once and expires after an hour. An admin can also reset it for you from Users.
Dashboard
The at-a-glance view, and it is live (refreshes itself every minute): headline tiles with 24-hour trends, a health card per app (green = healthy, amber = open errors, red = open criticals or gone quiet), the latest errors with recurrence counts, a 7-day per-app summary and recent background job runs. Click any card or row to drill in. Start here each morning.
Heartbeats (spotting silent failures)
Errors only catch loud failures; an integration that silently stops running never logs one. On Apps and keys an admin can set a heartbeat per app: how many minutes it may go without reporting anything. If it goes quiet beyond that, the system raises a critical HEARTBEAT_MISSED error against the app, which alerts through the normal rules and subscriptions, and resolves itself automatically the moment the app reports again.
Events
The searchable log of everything. Filter by app, type, class, severity or status, or free-text search across messages, integrations, codes and correlation ids. Click an event id for the full picture: every field the app sent, the data payload, and the complete history of alerts it triggered.
On the detail page you can:
- Assign the error to a user (they are emailed, and My queue in the events filter shows what is yours) and comment on it; comments notify the assignee and anyone watching.
- Update the status:
open(nobody on it yet),in progress,resolved(stamps who and when, feeds the fix-time reporting) orignored(noise, no action needed). Notes are free text; write what the next person needs to know. - Watch the event: tick to be emailed when its status changes and/or if the same fault recurs (a new error from the same app, integration and code). Your watches are listed in My alerts.
My alerts
Your personal notification choices, nobody else's. Create subscriptions by picking an app (or all apps), an error class (or any), a minimum severity, and a delivery style:
- Instant: an email as it happens. Critical always sends immediately; lower severities are throttled so a flapping integration sends you one email per window, not fifty.
- Daily digest: one 8am summary of everything your subscriptions matched since yesterday.
Pause, resume or remove subscriptions any time; unwatch events likewise.
Reports
Analytics over any date range: error and success totals, error rate, average time to resolve, a daily trend chart, breakdowns by app and severity, and the top failing integrations with jump-through links. Export CSV downloads exactly what your filters show, ready for Excel.
